Week 6+ What to do AFTER Physical Therapy?
As you progress through your total knee replacement recovery journey, you will eventually reach completion of Physical Therapy (usually around 6 weeks after surgery). This transition phase to your home program is crucial for ensuring the long-term success of your knee replacement and maintaining your overall joint health. It's the very reason we put together the mid-recovery and advanced recovery phases in this course!
The Mid-Recovery lessons covers 6 weeks of exercises you can continue to work on at home once you've been discharged from physical therapy.
The Advanced Recovery lessons cover an additional 6 weeks of exercises (week 7-12) you can continue to work on at home after you've completed physical therapy.
In these lessons, we will focus on gradually increasing your activity levels, incorporating more challenging strength training exercises, and improving your balance even more.
During the transition to the Mid-Recovery and Advanced Recovery phases, it is important to continue working closely with your healthcare team to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
